Scholarships Program / Recipients

The York High School Alumni Association, Inc., awards educational scholarship(s) annually to graduating seniors of York High School to the College or Technical School of their choice. Scholarships are available to all deserving YHS seniors, by completing the application process.  Additional scholarships are available to YHS seniors planning to attend Christopher Newport University. (See attached CNU Scholarship Awards). Beginning in 2026, based on the generosity of anonymous donors from the YHS Class of 1981, for the next 10 years, two scholarships (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) are available for York High School Seniors that will be pursing STEM degrees and attending a four year College or University in Virginia. York High School seniors wishing to compete for any of the scholarships, must complete an application(s) (See Attached Applications) and submit to the YHS Guidance Department not later than April 15th of their graduation year.
